Sometimes I’m ashamed for those who don’t have enough sense to be ashamed of themselves. Usually it’s because I used to be just like them.

The gentle sound of wind rustling through the trees replaced the wheezes and rumblings of an organ Saturday in a wedding ceremony at Deming Park – the highest point in Northeast Minneapolis. Fifty or so people gathered on the hilltop, the sun warming our backs.
