Saturday
I was the little spoon.
You were the big spoon.
Our legs were intertwined.
My back was sweating against your chest.
The early morning sun filtered through the white blinds, warming the room.
Two dogs slept and dreamt at the foot of the bed.
On the periphery of waking, I pulled you closer and let myself drift away again, content to sleep away the morning with you.
