Merry, uh... merry... HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I have yet to say Merry Christmas even ONCE this year. Not because I'm not merry, but because it sticks in my throat every time, and out comes the generic "Happy Holidays" instead.

Even more, when the checkout girl at Target wishes me a Merry Christmas, I have to bite my tongue before I blurt out, "I'm Jewish!"

So, I'm going to say it now: Merry Christmas!

AND! Happy holidays, happy Hanukkah, etc. etc. Happy happy happy.

A merry shade of Target red... :)

And what does one say to an atheist/agnostic?

I say "Happy Holidays" too. Not because of religious affiliation, but beacuse I think it sounds better. I guess I'm just a fan of the alliteration, because I'm a loser like that.

Excuse my retardism... but are you really Jewish or is that just an attempt to make the poor girl upset.

I see nothing wrong with saying "Merry Christmas" I think people need to get over it. We all know that when the woman at Target said "Merry Christmas" she didn't mean "Merry Jesus' Birthday" It's all about the feeling of the season: Santa, gifts, trees, snow, fun.

Maybe I'm crazy...?...?

No, I'm not Jewish. Full-fledged goyim.

And I don't really care if people tell me Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or Happy Holidays. The over-the-top PC is a vestige of a couple years working at a newspaper. After being sued a couple of times (wrongly) for discrimination, the newsroom was a little over-conscious of avoiding cultural confrontations.

I secretly wanted you to be Jewish. I just wanted to say "I know something about you!" and be able to talk about your penis like we were close. But noooo...

Haha! I kid. Sort of.
