Sorry

I got a postcard in the mail today. On one side it had a picture of a sad puppy dog. On the other side it said, “I miss you. Please stop neglecting me.”

It was from my blog. Poor lonely thing.

I’ve realized recently that the amount of blogging I do is inversely proportional to how busy I am at work. And the level of busy-ness at work is directly proportional to my job satisfaction. So that means that while you all are neglected, I’m feeling more satisfied with my job. It’s not a win-win situation, I’m sorry to say. I’ve been winning and you’ve been… getting the short end of the stick. My sincere apologies and I’ll do my best to remedy the situation.

To my blog: Hopefully our relationship isn’t damaged beyond repair. I would like to salvage whatever we have left and try to rediscover our love for one another.

I guess I envy you. In twenty-three years of employment, I don't think I ever once enjoyed a spasm of "job satisfaction." Anyway, your blog is doing just fine, albeit a little neglected. But, we're comforted in that you are still thinking of us.

Breaking from the blogosphere is sometimes nessacary. I think I'd choose to be happier about my job, then be blogging all the time. Cheers!

Some things are more important than blogging.

Or so I've heard.

Oh, thank goodness!!! The great and all-knowing HelloAaron is back to sustain us with his wit and knowledge!!

(just cuz I'm a smart-ass, don't think I don't appreciate your blog. Someone's gotta keep your ego in check, after all)

Damn, I'm smarmy tonight.
