This is Why I Blog

From an IM received tonight from a college student who grew up 30 miles from me in my dad's hometown (where I spent many days swimming, relaxing and being spoiled rotten by the grandparents):

I just wanted to let you know that I read your blog every so often, and I can't thank you enough. You have given me so much confidence, and made me realize that being gay is not a bad thing. I guess I read your blog for reassurance...just to know that I'm not alone. So, thanks for the inspiration!
