The Greatest Problem of All

If you think the last entry was serious…

Now I have a real problem that’s been vexing me for years. I’m asking for your support, understanding and assistance.

Please help me find a good hair stylist. This is urgent. Send recommendations and/or warnings my way immediately.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to provide sound hair advice for the clueless, i.e. me.
  • Must not be afraid to inform me that I am indeed clueless and immediately suggest alternatives.
  • Must be on top of current hair styling trends and have a range that extends beyond the typical gay boy haircut of the day: Short with spikiness in the front. I want longer and sexier.
  • Must be friendly, but not too friendly. Don’t ask too many questions.
  • Must understand that their profession is about customer service and the experience as much as the finished result. Therefore, have good shampooing technique.
  • Must, for obvious reasons, be located in the Twin Cities area. Preferably downtown or uptown Minneapolis. Will travel, though, for talent.
  • Must cost $25 or less. Anything more is silly.

Even though I think bald is great, I think it's even better if it's optional--i.e. I wish I had that problem...have you tried Lyn Lake Barbers? They advertise in Lavender and their cuts are only $15. And they're nice.

Now. If anyone could help me find such a person in the Vancouver area, feel free to let me know (I've struggled with this same problem for years)

It just so happens that I am going to school to be a cosmetologist! I am not going to start taking clients until mid-November, but I am already showing a lot of promise with mens' haircuts. And you don't need to be worried about my limited experience, because I will always have an instructor to talk to. That and I would prefer to be able to offer up ideas to do something different for a client. And I'm outgoing and friendly, but not obnxiously so!

The best part? My hair cuts will only be $10, at least as long as I'm in school.

If you're interested, I go to Scot Lewis, and I am a student at the Bloomington campus.

Enough of this crazy self promotion. If you decide to do it, my last name is Johnson. That's important, 'cause there's more than one Andrea.

And one more moment of self promotion: I give some badass shampoos.
