Stop Looking at Me, Swan

swan3.jpg

More than 10 years ago I saw a production of Swan Lake at DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was what you think of with ballets: Tutus, pink, the rare male, etc.

On the docket for tonight: Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. With a cast that is almost all male and nary a tutu in sight, I’m sure it will be a very different experience for me than the first time around.

It’s only in town from Feb. 8-12, so you should get tickets ASAP.

Comments:

Cool. Some of us are going this weekend. We are particularly interested in the, er, "swan legs". Not surprisingly, couldn't get any straight men aboard.

Hope it was worth it?
